Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed three new staff members. Ms. Melissa Beber (left) has been hired as Government Affairs Coordinator. Ms. Kathleen Farrier (center) has been hired as Accounting Manager. Ms. Kelli Pursley (right) has been hired as a Field
Representative for the Chamber’s Graduate Retention Program.
Ms. Beber was raised in Fort Wayne and is a graduate of Bishop Dwenger High School. She attended Purdue University-West Lafayette, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Psychology. Ms. Beber has also earned a master’s degree in Public Management from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. Prior to joining the Chamber staff, Ms. Beber served as a Financial Specialist at Salin Bank and Trust Company
for four years.
Ms. Farrier is a graduate of Indiana University’s division of General and Technical Studies, with an associate’s degree in Accounting. Ms. Farrier has been married to her husband Steve for 35 years, and they have three children and eight grandchildren. Her hobbies include sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Farrier previously served as Bookkeeper/Office Manager for Koehlinger/Cycling & Fitness
for almost 20 years.
Ms. Pursley was born and raised in Adams County and is a graduate of Adams Central High School. She attended International Business College and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne where she studied Accounting and Business. Ms. Pursley has experience growing and building staffing companies and developing jobs for individuals with disabilities. She recently served as a Business Services Representative for WorkOne
Northeast, JobWorks, Inc., where she assisted employers with workforce development programs.
