The Workforce Development Division of the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce was created in 1995 to begin working with local school systems on school-to-work programs, to strengthen the relationship between business and schools, and to assess and evaluate current education programs as they relate to the needs of business.

In addition, the Workforce Advisory Council was formed to make decisions concerning the endorsement of education, legislation, and other issues regarding area businesses in support of enhancing the incumbent workforce and setting standards for our future.

As the division has matured, it has developed relationships with both the business and education community to assist in finding solutions for workforce challenges. The Workforce Development Division's current focus is primarily on its Business & Education Collaboration, Skills Now/WorkKeys efforts, and Graduate Retention Program.

We hope that you find the information here valuable as you grow your business!
