Chamber member Greenlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Construction began on the 8,000-square-foot funeral home in winter 2012. The building’s design reflects the modern structure and amenities that best accommodate today’s and future family wishes. Features include a large chapel that can be converted into two smaller chapels, a full service hospitality room for catered receptions, a private family lounge, digital components throughout and ample parking.
"The funeral home was designed with the families we serve in mind. All of the details of the convenient new facility will allow us to provide families with the quality funeral service they have come to expect from us through the years," said Thomas Pehlke, general manager of Greenlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park. "Our family of funeral directors is committed to providing every family with compassionate, comprehensive service at a great value. We are deeply rooted in the Fort Wayne community, and respect for every family’s traditions and values is our first priority."
