From City Hall to the Statehouse

To be successful you need to be heard. That's why the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce is working to represent your business interests at the city, county, regional and state levels.

We recognize Fort Wayne business professionals may be focused on the day's operations rather than the debate taking place in City Council or on the House Floor. The Chamber is consistently monitoring the legislative and regulatory landscape with a careful and conscientious approach that best addresses the issues facing Northeast Indiana Commerce.

The Chamber's policy approach is member driven and results focused. Our Government Affairs staff works with Chamber members to develop legislative agendas, organize lobbying efforts, profile cases, engage the business community, and build relationships in the public policy arena.

Legislative Agenda

Published annually, the agenda articulates the underlying principles that shape Chamber public policy statements and determine our legislative priorities. To read our legislative agenda, click here.

Make a difference. Join one of our proactive committees that work to advance pro-business policy. Committees develop policy positions in specific subject areas for adoption by the Legislative Council and the Chamber Board. For more information on committees, click here.

We believe collaboration is essential for success and have created several coalitions to advocate for and educate the public on important public policy issues such as regionalism, transportation, and community initiatives.

It is about your bottom line!

  • 763 bills were introduced in Indiana's most recent General Assembly.
  • 116 bills were passed by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor.
  • Government regulation and taxation impacts every business and every employee in the region.

You can't afford "not" to get involved!
