Helping you benefit from membership

The Chamber’s Member Relations _ Communications division is here to serve members and help you fully take advantage of the many benefits your membership has to offer. The fact is, Chamber membership comes with so many benefits attached, it can be hard to keep track! We are here to walk you through the process of joining the Chamber, and here to see you through your membership.

If you want to get more involved – talk to us! We want to see you succeed and ensure you receive a full return on your Chamber investment. In other words, we want you to always be able to check the “Very Satisfied” box. Here are a few main points we want you to remember about Chamber membership.


Did you know that an independent national study showed that 59 percent of business decision makers are more likely to do business with a Chamber member versus a non-member? That’s because Chamber membership demonstrates your civic involvement and support of initiatives that focus on economic development as well as the overall advancement of the community.


One of the goals of the Member Relations _ Communications division is to provide members with a variety of events for professional enrichment and relationship-building with other Fort Wayne business people. In addition to monthly networking events and business development workshops, we throw some great parties including the Annual Golf Outing, the Taste of the Chamber, the ATHENA Awards®, and more.

The Chamber Web Site

The public looks to the Chamber as a source of reference when searching for a business, service, or organization. The majority of visitors to the Chamber’s Web site ( are looking for information on our members. A presence in our membership directory delivers those potential clients directly to your company.

All Chamber members are listed in certain categories of their choosing in a searchable business directory. Many Chamber members received well over 400 clicks on their business during the first quarter of 2010 alone. Links to each member’s Web site, email, and locator map are automatically provided as a member perk. Chamber members can also submit press releases and announcements to be displayed on the Chamber’s home page for one week, access and offer members-only coupons, and update their company information online.

The Web site also features a variety of data including community and Chamber programs and events, advocacy efforts, economic development data, visitor and relocation information, links to a wide range of resources, and last but not least, a comprehensive community calendar.
